What is yoga?
Yoga is an ancient practice developed in India that focuses on bringing harmony between the mind, body and breath. The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj, meaning “to yoke,” or “to unite.”
Modern yoga is most commonly associated with the physical practice called asana, which is a series of poses and postures intended to help build strength and endurance, while also improving flexibility, coordination, range of motion and balance.
Do I have to be flexible to practice yoga?
No, you do not need to be flexible to practice yoga. Our teachers guide you through each class and show you how to use props and offer variations of each pose to ensure accessibility and comfort for all.
